Citing from Newspaper

   If the author of the newspaper article is named, use the following citation order:

  1. Author
  2. Year of Publication (in parentheses)
  3. Title of article (in single quotation marks)
  4. Title of newspaper (in italics – capitalize the first letter of each word)
  5. Edition if applicable (in parentheses)
  6. Day and Month
  7. Page reference

Here’s an example:

In-text citation:

The election was won by the Dacing party (Oscar, 2012)

Reference list:

Oscar, J. H. (2012) ‘Election Results’, The New Times, 12 May, p. 18.
