Support for Academic Staff

Thinking_Statue

This area refers to the various support and activities provided to the academic staff to ensure that they are properly trained to be competent teachers and are continually exposed to new ideas in pedagogy.

This includes specific teaching and learning workshops, conducted throughout the year for training both new and existing academic staff. In addition, academic staff are expected to practice peer-to-peer classroom observation, record lectures for review and self-improvement, and conduct active-learning workshops for sharing without each school.

Delivery clusters are created at the institution level to promote and disseminate knowledge/skills on specific delivery methods, while the Learning Lunch initiative promotes passion and interest in teaching & learning, as well as exposing the academic staff to new ideas in pedagogy.
